Visit any art museum in the world and you will receive a lesson on pubic hair grooming throughout history and in all cultures. Various hair removal methods from the past were very painful but the upper class always subjected themselves to whatever fashion dictated at the time.

Hair removal techniques have become more advanced and less painful over time. There are many methods to choose from including:

  • Depilatories
  • Electrolysis
  • Laser
  • Shaving
  • Sugaring
  • Threading
  • Waxing

Some of these techniques are used at salons and spas around the world and some can be used at home. If you are feeling adventurous and you want to get ready for a bikini or revealing lingerie then follow these shaving steps to go bare "down there".

Step One: Get our your scissors and trim your pubic hair to about 1/8 of an inch or less.

Step Two: Take a long, hot shower or so in your bathtub prior to shaving to soften the hair down there.

Step Three: Apply shaving cream or conditioner to your pubic area and let it soak in for a few minutes. For best results purchase products made for the genital area.

Step Four: Get out your razor and insert a brand new blade. Pubic hair should always be shaved carefully and with a fresh blade to avoid scraping.

Step Five: Decide if you want to do a full shave or if you want to use a stencil to create a pretty design.

Step Six: Start shaving! Go slowly. You can shave with the hair or against it but shaving against it will produce the smoothest shave. For sensitive skin always shave in the direction of hair growth.

Step Six: After shaving shower or rinse off your pubic area with warm water. If you find that your skin is a bit irritated run cold water over a washcloth and press against the irritated area for several minutes.

Step Seven: You're not done yet! Use a post-shaving moisturizing lotion made specifically for the pubic area that is soothing and heals irritated or itchy skin.

Practice makes perfect. If you continue to shave "down there" your skills will improve over time and you will find yourself experiencing less irritation particularly if you use products made for that delicate area

Now that you have gone bare "down there" get out that sexy lingerie or bikini and experience the difference of having a smooth, sexy shave!
